1. Why would a game teach you about yourself?
Because people are more willing to expose themselves within a game and experiential learning sticks.

3. Why is Shift free to play?
Because Shift’s mission is to remind as many people as possible that they are love and loved. To that end, we want you to play and introduce your friends, family and colleagues. The more of us that remember our truth, that we are indeed love, the more we’ll see a real shift in the world around us.
4. Why does Shift reference things such as ACIM?
5. What if I my answer is different from the one listed?
There are no right or wrong answers. In fact, we like when conversation ensues. However, if your answer differs from the one on the card do 1 of 3 things
1. Explain how your response can come from love,
2. Choose to see the situation differently and see how the answer listed could make sense or
3. Let it go and move on.
6. What if I can’t think of an example of when I was a certain defense?
We say that each of us have a little bit of each defense represented in us. Think back throughout your life- even to childhood. Perhaps there was a certain person or situation where you showed up that way. For example, one man was positive he was never The Conditional Giver. However, when he thought back to his programming days, he realized that he absolutely was The Conditional Giver when it came to others using his code. If they weren’t smart enough to understand it, he wasn’t willing to explain it.
7. Why do I need to apply the choose cards to my life last week?
Two reasons. 1. By applying it to something in your life, you will own the lesson. It makes it real. 2. By focusing on something recent, we keep the game timely since it’s always specific to what’s happening in your life right now.
8. Do I really need to give details when answering the Choose and Drop a Defense cards?
Yes. Please tell us the story with as much detail as possible. It’s not because we want you to stay stuck in the story. It’s because your experience actually supports the rest of us in seeing how something similar may have happened in our own lives. And because stories stick, you’ll remember the lesson.

10. How many times can I play for free?
You can play up to three times per month. After that, you may sign on for a Shift member account where you’ll have unlimited play.

13. My audio isn’t working
Avoiding Call Echo
- A USB headset is recommended.
- Built-in or external speakers can cause echo.We recommend reducing the speaker volume to a low level.
- Webcams with microphones or built-in microphones can pick up additional noise and cause echo. Using a Webcam with microphones or built-in microphones for your audio is not recommended.
- Echo from a player: If you suspect echo from another player, ask the player to lower his or her speaker volume.
Avoiding Background Noise
- Move the microphone closer to your voice and away from competing sounds (i.e., computer fans).
- Avoid moving or touching the microphone during the game.
- A good quality headset is recommended. Webcams and built-in microphones can pick up noise and are not recommended.
Dropped Words; Delay; Robotic Sound
Dropped words, delay or robotic sound is often due to poor network performance, lack of memory or high CPU usage.
- Close all applications you are not using for your game.
- A dial-up Internet connection can cause poor performance. For optimum performance when using audio, we recommend a broadband Internet connection.
If No One Can Hear You
- Are the correct sound devices selected in the Control Panel Preferences menu?
- Does your microphone have a physical mute or unmute button on it? Check that your microphone is not muted.
- If they can not hear you, their speaker volume may be off or set low.
- Analog microphones are sometimes too quiet; we recommend using a USB headset or USB desktop microphone instead.
- Avoid touching the microphone since it may cause a reduction in the volume of your voice.
14. What should I have to do if game stuck?
You can refresh browser or you can close the game window and open again.
