Shift - A Game About Love, Fear and Life

I’m open to receiving. Usually I’m the one that needs to do everything for everyone and I choose to go it alone and not ask for support.  The universe is here to support me and the more I trust that everything will be all right and that there is an abundance of everything, that’s exactly what shows up.

In the last few weeks amazing opportunities have presented themselves. We now have two other people coming on board, Arturo Bencosme and Teri Lewis. We are building out a division of the company that I had wanted to create yet didn’t have the capacity to work on now.  Somehow we all manifested each other.  Arturo holds two engineering degrees and a PHD from Stanford. He’s a student of Insight and a facilitator of organizational learning. Teri’s background is in bringing motivational speakers to the corporate world.  We’ve developed Shift Business and already we’ve got four opportunities to bring it into corporations and organizations, including Wild Oats on the 12th.

It’s amazing what shows up when I stop controlling and let spirit be my guide.

I was in Seattle last week and had some great meetings. We’re now in Amazon, Drugstore.com, The Center for Spiritual Living and we had a great meeting with Dave Long and Mike Caffrey from Sceneit.  I know what I’d like to have come out of our meeting with Sceneit and they seemed open to the idea of partnering.  I have no clue what will actually happen if anything.  But here’s what I know. The energy was fantastic.  They were open and willing and they listened and I truly believe they believed in us and our message.  They had a similar experience where everyone told them to quit and give up, that their packaging and everything else just wouldn’t sell. They’re the #1 game- they sold 75k units in one day.  What’s really cool is that Dave and his wife (and their other partner) did it together. They’re the true underdogs.

He told us what it was like when he had to pitch the movie studios and didn’t know if they’d take his idea.  It’s so interesting because I want to have an experience of Love in all areas of my life including business. That’s why we’re creating Shift Business. Because, as Arturo said, ” Shift Business is about supporting work places in shifting to letting love lead.”  For us to do anything with Sceneit, I have to lay all my cards on the table and just TRUST.

TRUST.

Darawan (my amazing friend who has somehow transcended rockstar salesperson and became an even more fantastic mother of three precious little ones) came with me to my Seattle meetings because we’re looking to see if Shift might be the right fit for her at this time in her life.  Darawan also felt it energetically with Dave and Mike.  They have heart. While we were there one man had his young daughter with him at the office and there was a party going on for someone else’s birthday. Businesses can be lead from the heart. Businesses can be the aboslute #1 in what they do and remember to acknowledge the little things, have fun, and operate from love.

Last night I did something I’ve been meaning to do for months.  I made a huge collage with everything I’m visioning. Actually, I’ll see about posting it later tonight. It’s a visual that i can look at that shows everything I want to manifest… yes there are pictures of Oprah and there’s even a dollar bill… there’s also some little ones and a lot of sun and sand… It was a great creative exercise with pictures and words that I’ve been collecting for years.

Amongst all the cut outs, I wrote one word …. TRUST.

I met these guys last night at my first house party in Denver. They’re totally authentic and super sweet. It was fun for me to see what their process had been. Their book Honeymoon with my Brother, is about Franz getting dumped at the altar and then deciding to go on the honeymoon in Costa Rica anyway with his brother, Kurt.  It turned into an epic journey where they continued to travel around the world for 2 years.

They’ve still got a journey going on- just finishing a book tour where they went to towns and the people that created book clubs threw parties for them.  How cool is that?  I heard about their process and what it was like to make it to Oprah. Kurt showed us the pictures of their travels and the people they’ve met since the book’s been published.
The best part was seeing the success they’d had as two brothers who bonded and gained an audience of followers who loved that they had chosen the path not taken.

See, go be do. It will all come. Do want you want and have fun doing it and the universe will take care of the rest.
